We are committed to taking care of your plants organically and making them
Naturally beautiful! We use no chemicals, to insure that you and your plants are in a safe and non-toxic environment. Using organic methods will create a balanced atmosphere that will grow healthy and loving plants, remove toxins from the air we breath, and strengthen them against diseases.

Living things need a place to live with clean water and air, food which is not harmful, and an environment that will not threaten their health and safety

Tree & Shrub Spraying - Your trees and shrubs may require spraying to control insects, mites, or disease. We use only non-toxic products to control the target pest, avoiding any harm to the environment. We feel that harmful chemicals are an unnecessary detriment to our environment.

Pest & Disease Diagnosis - The key to maintaining proper plant health is proper diagnosis, and the ability to foresee potential problems before they occur.  Our arborists will visit your property, and thoroughly inspect all of your plants.  Once your property has been evaluated, a number of options will be presented.  A plant health care program can consist of anything from simple cultural controls, such as proper watering and fertilizing, to an aerial spray of all trees and shrubs.

Deep Root/Soil fertilization - Studies have shown that many soils are lacking in living organic matter.  The roots of trees and shrubs are often unable to absorb much-needed nutrients due to the absence of living organisms in the soil.   Just as you will add organic matter to your vegetable garden, we will inject the soil beneath your trees and shrubs with natural soil amendments.  The increase in natural elements and microbial activity will greatly improve the plant's ability to use the newly available nutrients in the soil.  The soil amendments are available alone, or as a complement to a good fertilization program.

Chemical Vs. Organic Fertilizer

Chemical fertilizers- are quick plant boosters that do not give long lasting effects to your plants. Chemical fertilizers leave behind salty residues in the soil. Some of the adverse effects are: It prevents some plants from consuming the needed nutrients; it destroys beneficial microorganisms that are much needed for healthy plant growth. Chemical fertilizers also can be hazardous and toxic to you and your environment.

Organic Fertilizers- on the other hand, help build up the fertility of the soil, thereby creating healthy and stable plants and strengthening them against diseases. Organic fertilizers ensure that you and your plants are in a safe and NON-TOXIC environment. Using organic care, will create a balanced atmosphere that will grow healthy and loving plants.

Remember, organic fertilizers help recycle existing organic waste products and we highly recommend using these products for all of your interior and exterior plants.

Chemicals Cause Increased Vulnerability of Diseases

Chemical fertilizers may make plants more susceptible to disease. The fertilizers do this in part by killing off organisms in the soil that protect plants from certain diseases. Many plant diseases are kept under control by antibiotic-producing bacteria or fungi thriving in the soil, around the plant roots. The lack of organisms and trace elements in the soil regularly dosed with chemical fertilizers is not uncommon, and the lack of availability of these vital micronutrients to plants is a consequence of the use of chemical fertilizers. Root systems are clogged with too much of one element and cannot absorb any other, thereby stressing the plant and making it more prone to diseases.

Chemicals Prevent Consumption of Needed Nutrients

On the root hairs of plants, the colloidal humus particles are the areas that transfer most of the minerals from the soil solution to the root hairs and into the plant. Each humus particle attracts elements such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other metals and elements. When chemical fertilizers are put into the soil year after year, a radical change takes place on the humus particles. When using chemical fertilizers time after time, too many fertilizing elements are put into the soil for a quick boost. The too numerous elements coat the humus, glutting the root hairs with excess. Finally, the plant is unable to pick up the minerals that it needs.

Chemicals Destroy Micro-Organisms

The soil must be regarded as a living organism. When chemicals are used year after year, acids build up and dissolve the rich humus material, made from the dead bodies of soil organisms, which hold the rock particles together to form fertile soil. On the surface of the chemical fertilized soil, the humus-free particles settle to form a hard, more or less water-repellant layer. This hardpan layer of rock particles makes rainwater run off into ponds and streams, instead of entering the soil. Hardpans seal the topsoil off from the soil under it, causing no penetration of rain, and water from the water table cannot rise to the topsoil for evaporation. The soil below the sealed top layer becomes anaerobic and acidic. In anaerobic acid soils the organism population changes and eventually dies.

Chemicals are Hazardous and Toxic

Some chemical fertilizers contain nitrates. When applied to farm fields the rain causes runoff of nitrates into ponds and streams causes a buildup of algae and other aquatic vegetation. As the alga decomposes, the supply of oxygen in the water is used up, and the water is no longer able to support life. Nitrates from food plants can convert blood hemoglobin to methemoglobin, more so in younger people, causing sickness and death.

Chemical pesticides are designed to control pests. Most control the pest by poisoning it. Some are very poisonous (toxic) and may kill or seriously injure animals, humans, and others in nature. Who would want to touch a plant that has a pesticide on it?

Protect Water Quality - Water makes up two thirds of our body mass and covers three fourths of the planet. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates pesticides, some cancer causing, contaminate the groundwater in 38 states, polluting the primary source of drinking water for more than half the country's population.
